NATIONAL MALL

There are so many places on and around the National Mall to take photos. A few of my favorites:

  • Jefferson Memorial
  • War Memorial
  • Lincoln Memorial
  • Constitution Gardens
  • American Pharmacist's Association
  • Tidal Basin

A great way to incorporate some classic DC vibes into your session!

old town Alexandria

Downtown Alexandria is such a beautiful spot in Virginia that's super close to DC, but doesn't require you to actually deal with DC! It has such variety in scenery: waterfront, old town streets, hidden gardens, you name it!

shenandoah national park

This is easily my top choice - I'm a mountain girl at heart! Just about an hour from DC, Shenandoah National Park offers STUNNING mountain views and incomparable sunsets! With nearly 70 overlooks, there is an abundance of spots!

Note: $30 entrance fee per car to SNP

Your Favorite winery!

Who doesn't love wine? And love? And a combination?? Just the best! Virginia is home to dozens of wineries, most of which have absolutely stunning views! Many wineries allow photography (some with a fee, some without)! Make sure to call ahead to coordinate and ask about any fees or specific policies!

Note: almost every single winery has a different policy, so be sure to call in advance or look online to see their policies, fees, and schedule!

Georgetown

Georgetown Waterfront is popular, but for good reason! The views of the Potomac and Kennedy center are simply stunning! If you're looking for a bit more privacy during your session, we can always take a step back into the old town neighborhoods a few blocks back from the waterfront!
